Speaking to the media at the time, Itala Rajender said -“some people say that I won with the B form given by the TRS party with the KCR party symbol. Then Why did Vinod Kumar at Karimnagar and kavitha in Nizambad lose? They also stood up with the same KCR TRS party symbol and same B form was given to them then why did they lose?
“I don’t want to do politics because people are suffering in these catastrophic situations. I am a person who respects people and their lives,” he said. He said that the government was ready to face by-elections if unavoidable. He said he was ready to compete as an Independent.
